More and more gas stations are expanding their services and going from manned to unmanned at the same time. The same goes for several AVIA Vollenhoven locations. Since a few weeks, residents of Beek en Donk and Sittard can go to their AVIA to drop off and pick up packages at the DHL Locker at the filling station. AVIA Vollenhoven plans to scale up the number of gas stations with lockers.
The yellow locker wall can be found at AVIA Beek en Donk (Brugstraat 2, 5741 GT Beek en Donk) and AVIA Sittard (Leyenbroekerweg 102, 6132 CH Sittard). The parcel machine is outside, accessible 24/7, easily accessible and suitable for parcels of different sizes.
With a unique pickup code, the DHL Locker only opens for the recipient of the parcel in question. This can be done at any time within opening hours after receiving the code. Returning or sending packages is done with the same ease.
More and more people are using delivery to a service point or to a locker as an alternative to delivery to the home address. In one year, its use has doubled. Users cite flexibility, convenience and sustainability as plus points. This automatic parcel machine can also be defined as a standard delivery option in the My DHL app, which has now been downloaded 5 million times.
