Our measures

We care about the environment, which is why we are taking several measures to reduce our carbon emissions. As a large organisation, we can make a big contribution. That is why we try to reduce carbon emissions wherever possible. Sorting centers built in accordance with high sustainability standards (BREEAM), electric delivery vehicles, e-trucks, electric (cargo) bikes and smart delivery routes all contribute to reducing our carbon emissions.

Carbon emissions in perspective

DHL eCommerce has the largest electric fleet. Currently, there are already 2,500 electric delivery vans on the road, and we continue to expand. Where we do not yet operate electrically, we use HVO100 as much as possible. This is a sustainable fossil-free fuel made from waste, residual oils, and fats.

Your parcel’s route

We can make a great contribution by taking our responsibility seriously. Reducing our carbon emissions is a big part of our goals and we are taking big and small steps to achieve this. Every little bit helps. That's why we look at every part of our logistics process - from the moment your order is registered with us, until our delivery driver arrives at your doorstep.
