On our way to two hundred DHL Lockers at terStal Family Fashion

All terStal Family Fashion stores will have a DHL Parcel locker for sending and picking up parcels. Niek Gloudemans, owner of the terStal fashion formula, symbolically inaugurated the first locker in the Born branch. The addition of a DHL locker to almost all of terStal's 200 stores is another level of the collaboration with DHL eCommerce that began over 4 years ago. The DHL locker, which consumers can use for all their shipments, has a unique terStal look and feel and has room for over seventy packages of different sizes. The terStal store in Wormerveer was the first store to receive this extra service in mid-June. Three to four stores are being added per day and by September over 200 stores will have a DHL locker.

Niek Gloudemans, owner terStal: “By implementing DHL lockers in our stores, we can offer our customers even better service and in addition, we attract new customers to our stores who are introduced to our latest fashion trends.”

Onmnichannel
DHL has been terStal Family Fashion's logistics partner for several years. The fashion company has used an omnichannel approach to fuel its growth. In the cooperation with DHL, the webshop has partly grown into a serious additional sales channel with a click & collect and a ship-from-store service. From the terStal distribution center in Almelo, DHL picks up orders from web shoppers and delivers them throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. From the stores, DHL takes all webshop orders for which store stock is used. These daily routes now also include the lockers.

Parcel in and out of the machine: how does it work
DHL now has room for 100,000 parcels in the automatic lockers. With a unique e-mailed pick-up code, the locker only opens for the recipient of the parcel in question. Returning or sending packages is done with the same ease.

More and more people are using delivery to a service point or to a locker as an alternative to delivery to the home address. In one year, its use has doubled. Users cite flexibility, convenience and sustainability as plus points. The locker at terStal can also be defined as a standard delivery option in the My DHL app, which has now been downloaded 5 million times.
